From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this venue was thoughtfully designed with both the couple and their guests in mind, creating a seamless, beautiful experience from start to finish.
Getting Ready at The Gardenia Venue
Mackenzie and Jaelen had a large wedding party, and one of the things I loved most about The Gardenia Venue was how spacious both the bridal and groom’s suites were. There was plenty of room for everyone to get ready comfortably without feeling crowded, which made the morning feel relaxed and fun rather than rushed.
The groom’s suite even included entertainment like a pool table, which gave the guys a chance to spend time together while waiting for their turn for photos. Little details like this truly show how much the venue prioritizes the couple’s experience.
The Gardenia Venue Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the chapel, and it was absolutely stunning. The space is filled with beautiful natural light and overlooks the pond and fountain behind it, creating such a peaceful and romantic backdrop. The chapel comfortably seats many guests while still feeling intimate, which made it perfect for Mackenzie and Jaelen’s ceremony.
As their photographer, I loved working in this space because the lighting was so soft and natural. It made every photo feel timeless and genuine.
Portraits Around the Venue
One of the things I appreciate most about weddings at The Gardenia Venue is that no matter where you go for portraits, it’s beautiful. The natural light throughout the property makes such a difference, and every corner feels thoughtfully designed. Whether we were indoors or outdoors, I always knew there would be a perfect spot for photos.
One of my favorite indoor locations was the long hallway between the bridal and groom’s suites. Large windows line the space, filling it with soft natural light from end to end. We used this area for the bride’s first look with her dad and for some of the groom’s portraits, and it photographed so beautifully.
When it came time for Mackenzie and Jaelen’s bride and groom portraits, we stepped behind the chapel where the wall of stunning windows creates the most incredible backdrop. The windows reflected the pond and fountain behind them, adding so much depth and romance to their images.
The Reception Hall at The Gardenia Venue
The reception hall was just as impressive! It was extremely spacious with plenty of room for the dance floor, which was perfect for their large guest list. Their friends and family filled the floor all night, and there was so much energy and joy in the room. I loved that with a large space for dancing, guests could comfortably be on the dance floor and enjoy the evening without feeling crowded. As a photographer, this stood out to me because it also allowed me to get in on the action to capture fun photos!

Overall, the day went so smoothly, and it was clear that The Gardenia Venue was the perfect backdrop for Mackenzie and Jaelen’s wedding. I love working here because it’s designed with the couple in mind with the spacious suites and ceremony space to the thoughtful reception hall layout and beautiful natural light throughout the property.
As a wedding photographer, having consistent natural light and intentional design makes such a difference, and it allows me to focus fully on capturing genuine moments as they unfold.
Mackenzie and Jaelen’s day was filled with joy, emotion, and celebration, and it was such a gift to document it all for them.
